Kiara is a winner

St Martin's School is not only the school with a difference, we now can boast that we have an innovator, inventor, creative thinker! Kiara Nirghin in Grade 11, is not only one of 100 regional finalists in the Google Science fair, she is the winner of the Community Impact Event for Middle East and Africa for investigating the effect of drought on crops. Her invention combats drought with a low cost, biodegradable, super absorbent polymer made out of orange peels.

Kiara will travel to Google's Headquaters ion Claifornia to be in teh finals in September-October 2016.
