Ethos

As an independent, non-racial, co-educational boarding school, St Martin’s is especially valued by parents seeking for their children an academic environment that reflects Christian standards. Learners of all faiths and denominations are admitted. Daily assemblies and the weekly celebrations of the Eucharist form integral components of the school’s ethos. The Chaplain spends time with every class during the week and learners who wish to do so may ask to be prepared for Confirmation.

The favourable staff-to-student ratio and the tradition of Houses assures parents of an intensive level of teaching, supervision and pastoral care. Learners are expected to take increasing responsibility as they progress through the school. There are opportunities for service and leadership within the house and prefect systems.
